On a new Wigner-Ville distribution associated with linear canonical transform

Abstract Linear canonical transform as a general integration has been considered into Wigner-Ville distribution (WVD) to show more powerful ability for non-stationary signal processing. In this paper, new WVD associated with linear (WVDL) and form of WVDL (IWVDL) are presented. First, the definition is derived based on autocorrelation function some properties investigated in details. It removes coupling between time delay lays foundation analysis Then, characteristics over time-frequency plane, parameter estimation method, IWVDL, proposed modulation frequency (LFM) signal. Two phase parameters LFM estimated simultaneously cross term can be suppressed well by operator. Finally, compared classical WVD, simulation experiments carried out verify its better suppression ability. Error computational cost discussed superior performance other domain. The further application radar imaging field will studied future work.
